You might be surprised to know how cautious BC and Canadian privacy legislation can be when it comes to this public information, plus many other forms of data including customer records, marketing information, and even email contact lists!

This talk geared towards anyone who works with data about people, especially when those individuals are Canadian. During this talk, you will learn what data is actually defined as personal, how you are required to store and manage that data, and some best practices for ensuring that you do not violate privacy regulations! If the acronyms 'PIPA', 'PIPEDA', or 'CAN-SPAM' mean nothing to you, you might want to hear this talk!
